KeepPaws began the way so many things born from the heart do — with loss. Our founder, a lifelong animal lover, grew up surrounded by the quiet companionship of dogs, cats, and the occasional very grumpy rabbit. They were family. When the time came to say goodbye to a beloved companion of over fourteen years, there was an ache that words alone couldn't fill.

In the days that followed, searching for a way to honor that life — something more permanent than a social media post, more accessible than a physical grave — the idea for KeepPaws emerged. What if there were a place where every pet's story could live on, beautifully told, always visitable? A sanctuary in the cloud, not hidden away, but shared openly with those who cared.

KeepPaws is that place. It is free to use because we believe that honoring a companion should never come with a price tag. It runs on love, volunteered time, and the generosity of people who believe in what we're building. Every memorial you see here was created by someone who loved deeply — just like you.
