1. Information We Collect

When you create a KeepPaws memorial, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, the names and details of your pets, photos you upload, and any stories or tributes you write. If you place an order for a keepsake, we also collect shipping information and payment details (processed securely through our payment partners Stripe and PayPal).

Visitors who leave tributes on memorial pages may provide their name, email address (optional), and a personal message. We do not require visitors to create accounts to leave tributes.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your digital memorial pages
• To fulfill keepsake orders and communicate order status
• To send essential account-related emails (not marketing — we don't send those)
• To improve the platform and protect against abuse
• To comply with legal obligations

3. Memorial Privacy Settings

You control who can see your memorial. We offer three privacy options:

• Public: Visible to everyone and listed in our memorials directory.
• Link Only: Only visible to people who have the URL. Not listed publicly.
• Private: Visible only to you when signed in.

You can change these settings at any time from your Dashboard.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure (Neon PostgreSQL, Cloudflare R2). Media files are served through Cloudflare's global CDN with edge caching. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. Passwords are handled by Supabase Auth — we never see or store your raw password.

5. Cookies

We use essential session cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics that track you across the web. When you visit a memorial page, no cookies are set on your device unless you choose to leave a tribute.

6. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate the platform:

• Supabase: Authentication services
• Neon: Database hosting
• Cloudflare: Media storage, CDN, and anti-abuse (Turnstile)
• Stripe / PayPal: Payment processing for keepsake purchases
• Vercel: Application hosting

These providers have their own privacy policies governing their use of your data.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your memorial data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or a memorial, we permanently remove all associated data (photos, stories, tributes, and pet details) within 30 days. You can delete your memorials from the Dashboard at any time, or contact us to request complete account deletion.

8. Children's Privacy

KeepPaws is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
