1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using KeepPaws ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

KeepPaws provides a platform for creating digital memorial pages for pets, with optional physical keepsake products (urns, jewelry, framed portraits). The Service is intended for personal, non-commercial use. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time.

3. Account Registration

To create a memorial, you must register for an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to register.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to KeepPaws, including photos, stories, and pet details ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and display the content solely for the purpose of operating the Service (i.e., showing your memorial page to visitors).

You represent that you have the right to upload any content you submit, and that it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms or that we deem inappropriate.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload content that is abusive, harassing, or hateful
• Impersonate others or create memorials for pets you don't have a connection to
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Use automated means to access the Service without permission

6. Intellectual Property

The KeepPaws name, logo, website design, and all software code are our exclusive property. User Content belongs to the users who upload it. We respect intellectual property rights and will respond to valid DMCA takedown requests.

7. Payments & Refunds

All keepsake purchases are processed through Stripe or PayPal. Prices are listed in USD and include applicable taxes. Due to the custom, made-to-order nature of our keepsakes, we generally do not accept returns unless the item is defective. Please inspect your keepsake upon delivery and contact us within 14 days if there is an issue.

8. Disclaimer

KeepPaws is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. While we take data preservation seriously, we recommend keeping local backups of important content.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KeepPaws shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through your Dashboard or by contacting us. Upon termination, your memorials and associated content will be removed within 30 days.
